The verdict
A reasonable budget pick if the Physen is out of stock. Similar specs, slightly less polished.

The Avantek DT42 is a perfectly fine inexpensive doorbell. I rank it below the Physen because in my testing it was a few dB quieter and a hundred feet shorter on range, at almost the same price.
If you find it on sale or the Physen is unavailable, you will not regret it. Otherwise, get the Physen.
